HAPPY TUESDAY!

LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

- The SK students started their morning with calendar time led by our

Special Helper: Hayden.
- This morning we had our annual school Spelling Bee! Congratulations to all participants as they all put their best effort forth and did a fantastic job! A BIG CONGRATS GOES TO AVANEESH FOR PLACING 1st place!!
- This afternoon, we worked on Father's Day crafts that were sent home today. Hopefully boys & girls will remember to hide these crafts until Sunday ;)
Students also continued working on a "School Memories" booklet where they have to write about their favourite things, socially and academically, and lots more! This booklet will be sent home by the end of the week.
- Throughout the week, students will be bringing home books, student work, and any leftover items that belong to them!

- Students attended GYM/FRENCH class at their assigned times.

LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

- The SK students started their morning with calendar time led by our

Special Helper: Braydon.
- Students shared what they did over the weekend as well as the family history sheet that was sent home last week. It was very interesting to hear about some students' parents/grandparents and what their childhood was like! Thank you for participating in this activity :)
- This morning, during Art time students also had a chance to go outside and draw beach-themed pictures with sidewalk chalk!
- This afternoon, students completed their FINAL MATH TEST of the year, on GEOMETRY & MEASUREMENT!

- The SK students started their morning with calendar time led by our

Special Helper: Marcus.
- Students spent the morning reviewing Language & Math concepts from the year.
- In the afternoon, we had Reading Buddies with the Grade 3 class!

- Our class also had to opportunity to go to Ms. Hamilton's Grade 1 class and view their Habitat projects!

- Students were also treated to some time at the park this afternoon :)

- Students attended GYM/FRENCH class at their assigned times.

ARTS NIGHT WAS A REAL SUCCESS!!
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK :)

HAPPY THURSDAY!

- The SK students started their morning with calendar time led by our

Special Helper: Saanchi.

- Students spent the morning reviewing Language & Math concepts from the year. Today we practiced addition/subtraction, telling time, vowel sounds, writing words with long vowels & silent "e" ,etc.

- In the afternoon, students had their IN-CLASS Spelling Bee; congratulations to everyone for their efforts, especially SAANCHI, AVANEESH & PRANAV for moving on to next week's SCHOOL SPELLING BEE!

- Students worked on MEASUREMENT worksheets today. This is our last Math unit of the year!

*Note: THE GEOMETRY/MEASUREMENT Math Test is on MONDAY, JUNE 9th*

- Students attended GYM/ART/FRENCH class at their assigned times.

ACTION IS IMPORTANT!!

Action is a significant aspect of the IB learning process. Please become a follower of the SK class blog to post any action your child has completed at home. When his/her name appears on the blog, your child will receive house points. This is to help further their knowledge about what has been learned within the classroom. Students are to use what they have learned and apply it to the “real world.” For example, if we are learning about recycling, students might go home and tell you that they want to implement a recycling program at home, or they may do something simple like telling you that something you were throwing in the garbage may be recycled. Action varies and ranges from something small to something very large; as long as students are understanding the concepts, action is important no matter the size. Thank you for your cooperation :)
