- Hello Tuesday!
- In the morning, students had REHEARSALS for the Christmas Concert!!

- Students had their DAYTIME performance of the Christmas Concert today. One more to go tomorrow night!
- Throughout the day we listened to many Christmas stories, one of which being "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas". Everyone also engaged in fun Holiday activities: students worked on a Reindeer craft as well as a "My Pet Reindeer" writing activity. They also completed a "Decorating Christmas Tree" sentence-sequencing sheet. Everyone is doing an awesome job on these tasks this week! All the finished work has been sent home in the agenda bags.

- Hello Monday!
- In the morning, students had REHEARSALS for the Christmas Concert!!

- After first lunch/recess, we had a blast filling out an "Elf Application" and then making our very own elf!

- At the end of the day, students had more rehearsals for the Christmas Concert. We also had an early birthday celebration for Jordan!!

NEXT WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17th! *

- Fun Friday!
- In the morning, students had morning circle/calendar time, snack-time & Gym with Ms. Lovan.
- Ms. H & the Grade 7/8 students came for a visit this morning & we had Reading Buddies using French storybooks!

- This afternoon, rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas Concert continued! Students will be worked hard this week in preparation for the big night next week!

- In Language, we completed our Snowman, Snowman booklets from yesterday and then students worked on a sentence-sequencing worksheets (unscrambling the sentence "I can see Santa.").

- After first lunch/recess, we worked on some fun Winter/Christmas crafts!

- Before second lunch/recess, students had Drama & Music class with Mr. Monaghan & then French with Madame Stella!

- At the end of the day, students had more rehearsals for the Christmas Concert.

UNIFORM POLICY

Dear SJA Parents,

This is a friendly reminder that students at SJA must adhere to our uniform policy. SJA has made strides to make the uniform pieces as easy to obtain and as cost effective as possible.

Upon the return to school on January 7th, teachers will begin sending home uniform violations with students who are not wearing the proper uniform. To remind parents, your child will be given a note home on the first occasion, on the second occasion you will receive a phone call home asking for the proper uniform piece to be brought into the school, and on the third occasion the missing uniform piece will be sent home with your child along with an invoice for the purchase of the piece.

If you have any questions about the uniform pieces or would like to order additional pieces to be ready for your child to wear beginning January 7th please contact Alpa Sachania at alpa@multiformcanada.com

- This morning was the start of the many rehearsals we will be having for the upcoming Christmas Concert! Students will be working hard this week in preparation for the big night!

ACTION IS IMPORTANT!!

Action is a significant aspect of the IB learning process. Please become a follower of the SK class blog to post any action your child has completed at home. When his/her name appears on the blog, your child will receive house points. This is to help further their knowledge about what has been learned within the classroom. Students are to use what they have learned and apply it to the “real world.” For example, if we are learning about recycling, students might go home and tell you that they want to implement a recycling program at home, or they may do something simple like telling you that something you were throwing in the garbage may be recycled. Action varies and ranges from something small to something very large; as long as students are understanding the concepts, action is important no matter the size. Thank you for your cooperation :)
